William Watts Obituary


William H Watts, 62, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away on May 21st ,2020due to complications from Covid-19. He was born on September 24st, 1957in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was the son of Charles A and Barbara S Watts.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army as an Assistant Mess Sargent and General’s Aide at Fort Knox Kentucky.

Bill had a love and a passion for cooking which he got from his mother. He made this his career and worked as an executive chef, mostly in private clubs for over 30 years. He had been currently working at Parkhust Hospitality Group, where he was Senior General Manager of several colleges food service. Bill’s favorite time of year was Christmas where he could stretch his creativity in making his infamous Gingerbread Houses. Bill loved the ocean and took every opportunity to go to the place where he found his greatest peace.

Bill was so proud of his two boys and was so excited that he was going to be a grandfather for the first time.

He is survived by his two sons, William (Amanda) Watts of Pittsburgh, PA, Robert (Stephanie) Watts of Bothell, WA. Mother, Barbara Watts of Ohio, brothers Robert (Cindy) Watts of Florida, James (Ronda) Watts of North Carolina, Nieces, Jennifer Beirau, Katie Watts, Courtney Watts and a nephew Connor Watts, great niece Charlie Kate and Great Nephew Chase

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles in July 2014.

Because of Covid-19, no service will be observed. His family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in his name to support Front-Line Caregivers And Critical Research at Cleveland Clinic (give.ccf.org/campaign/covid-19/c276951).
