Wendy M. Gammon
ASHTABULA -Wendy Michelle Gammon, 42, passed away May 12, 2020 at Hillcrest Hospital following a 10-year battle with diabetes.
She was born in Ashtabula on December 27, 1977 the daughter of Donald and Barbara (Blon) Gammon, Jr.
Wendy was a member of the Ashtabula High School graduating class of 1997.
Wendy worked as a nurses aid for many years and absolutely loved helping others; she was especially fond of caring for the elderly.
She enjoyed being with her family; she loved to picnic and be outdoors. When she was no longer able to drive she counted on her mom to be her taxi, but at the same time she was also her best friend. Wendy never complained about being sick and always found a way to find a silver lining.
She is survived by her mother Barbara (William) Burgoon, her son Ryan Phipps; her sister Erika Gammon-Knepshield; her grandfather Donald (Beverly) E. Gammon, Sr. her nephew Logan Gammon-Azbill who he affectionately called “Aunt Wee-Wee” as well as many aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald; her grandparents Fred and Louella Blon and Doris and Clifford Taft.
Services to celebrate Wendy’s life will be held once the ban on large social gatherings has been lifted.
