Wayne A. Schimel

GENEVA – Wayne A. Schimel, 91, passed away August 27, 2019 at University Hospital in Cleveland.

He was born in Mattoon, Wisconsin on June 24, 1928 and was the son of Alfred and Alleen Schimel.

Wayne very proudly served his country during WWII as a member of the US Army-Air Force.

He received his degree in Dairy Management from Alfred University in New York and retired from Coca-Cola in Geneva as a supervisor after over 20 years of service.

On June 26, 1952 Wayne married Dorothy Ann Rexford, his loving and devoted wife of the past 67 years.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife Dorothy, his daughter Lisa Schimel and son Kurtis (Shirley) Schimel; and his grandchildren: Christina Crippen, Kurtis Schimel II, and Tiffany Ludwigsen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family is honoring Wayne’s wishes and no public services will be held.
