Wanda Lou (Myers) Smith

Wanda Lou Smith, 60, passed away August 24, 2025, at University Hospitals - Elyria Medical Center, Elyria, Ohio, following a very brief illness while traveling

She was born in Michigan City, Indiana on December 4, 1964, the daughter of Eugene and Beverly (Rozinski) Myers.

Wanda graduated from Kruger High School in 1983.

When Wanda wasn’t working, she enjoyed watching Lifetime television shows, reading especially Stephen King books, crocheting, and fishing; and recently traveling with her companion Tim.  Her life was centered around the love that she had for her daughter, her grandchildren, her siblings and her loving companion.  She was a dear friend of many, and she will be missed dearly.  

She is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Amy (Michael) Shaffer; Her grandchildren: Ariel and Jacob Shaffer; Her siblings: Rob (Kandie) Myers, Kenny Myers, Julie Moore, and Leona (Doyle) Keeling; her loving companion Timothy Sutton; And many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Just as in life Wanda always wanted to help others; death was no different for her.  Wanda saved the lives of two people because she and her family knew this would be something she would want to do; to those two recipients family’s she will always be remembered as the hero they never had the opportunity to meet but they will always be forever grateful.
