Walter Blair "Ziggy" Sizemore, 62, passed away unexpectedly on December 7th, 2019 at Hillcrest Hospital.
He was born on May 18th, 1957 in Greenbriar County, W.VA, the son of Jennings and Thelma Alease (Sheets) Sizemore. He was a 1975 graduate of Jefferson Area High School.
Blair recently moved back to Jefferson from California and Orgeon where he had been living with his step-daughter and son-in-law, Nichole (Petig) and Thomas Groeling.
Prior to moving back to Jefferson, Blair loved spending time in the great outdoors with friends and family and even be himself enjoying the peacefulness of being alone. He was an avid Volkswagen fan and would visit many Vintage Volkswagen Bus/Car shows all over California. He was very proud of his White 1971 Volkswagen Pop Top Bus.
His survivors include his children Craig Sizemore, Carlie (Alfredo Molina) Sizemore, his only granddaughter Elise "Sunshine" Cobb, all of Jefferson OH; step children Richard (Lynsie) Petig of CA, Nichole (Petig) and Thomas Groeling of OR; His former wife and good friend, Kelly Simpson of Jefferson, OH; Sisters: Maxine McCoy, W.Va and Dottie Placek of Streetsboro, OH; Brothers: Bruce (Karen) Sizemore, Jefferson, OH; Gerald (Carol) Sheets, NC; Larry (Wanda) Sizemore, Katy, TX; Lyle (Susan) Sizemore, Wewahitchka, Fl and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Blair is preceded in death by his father and mother, Jennings and Alease Sizemore, as well as his sisters, Wanda Hanson, Faye Winfrey, Bonnie Lightman and nephew Richard Sizemore.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 14th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 89 E. Satin St., Jefferson, OH. Viewing will be from 2:00-3:00 with funeral services beginning at 3:00. A luncheon, inside the church, will commence at the end of the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family to help cover the costs of the funeral.
