Valerie (Adkins) Simon

It is with immense sadness that our family shares the passing of our beloved mother, Valerie A. (Adkins) Simon, on January 16, 2026.  She passed away peacefully with family by her side, after navigating health challenges in recent years.  

Valerie was a multifaceted woman who charted a life course that was uniquely her own.  She was grounded in love, faith, kindness, and wisdom. Valerie taught her three children one of the most important life lessons: the value of forgiveness  and the freedom it gives. We stand in gratitude for this gift and are committed to paying it forward. 

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated, and there will be no funeral service.  Our family will gather to celebrate her life later this year.  Details will follow at a later time.  We invite all who knew her, loved her, laughed with her, and prayed with her to join us or share a memory at that time.   

She is survived by her loving family; her children: Staci White, Billy Simon, and Keisha Simon; and her grandchildren Buddy and Chloie.
