ASHTABULA – Tyler M. Nelson, 31, passed away Wednesday July 10, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born on February 24, 1988 the son of Richard and Pamela (Skidmore) Nelson.

Tyler was a 2007 graduate of Edgewood Senior High School where he played football, basketball and track.

He was known for his warm smile and his gentle soul.  Tyler was a dear and supportive friend to so many people, but above all his family came first.

He is survived by his parents: Pamela (Christopher Lute) Nelson and Richard (Patricia Dodge) Nelson; his daughter Lillanna; his siblings: David (Traci) Nelson, Brandon Nelson, Devon (Danessa) Nelson, Daina (Mike) Nelson-Williams, D’Aunna (Brandon) Nelson-Gates; his aunts: Janet Knox, Sandy Orlando and Corbetta Miggo; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: John and Rose Skidmore, Charles and Grace Nelson and John Hewitt; and his brother Richard “Rick” Nelson, Jr.

Services to Celebrate Tyler’s life will be held on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 at CZUP FUNERAL HOME, 1329 Lake Avenue Ashtabula.  Burial will take place in Edgewood Cemetery
