Thelma (Slusher) Drnek

Thelma M. Drnek, 84 of Andover Ohio passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2026.

Born on April 12, 1941, she was the daughter of Alfred and Opal (Overmeyer) Slusher.

Thelma graduated in 1959 from Andover High School. On February 6, 1960, she married Robert Drnek Sr., and they shared 63 years together. Robert proceeded her in death in September of 2023.

Together they had 3 children: Robert Jr. (Rhonda Lane), Gordon (Christine) and the late Tammy (Michael) Gorski who also proceeded her in death in April of 2025.

Thelma also leaves behind her siblings Wilford Slusher, Donna Rhoades - with whom she enjoyed dancing the jitter bug in their earlier years, Glenn (Eileen) Slusher and Neal (Val) Slusher. Also, her lifetime friend Sheryl McGann and many nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren with another on the way.

She enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with her sister Donna. She was a member of the Andover United Methodist Church; she enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Andover Eagles Club where she also loved to dance.

Thelma always had a smile on her face and will be missed by many.
