Steven Andrew Rushe

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Steven Andrew Rushe, age 34, at University Hospital's St. John Medical Center.

Steven passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, at 7:41 AM, surrounded by family and friends after battling anoxic brain damage for the past two years and nine months.

Steven was born on June 3, 1990, to Brian Scholz of Cleveland and Merry (Rushe) Scholz of Berea.

Steven was self-employed and did a little bit of everything. Steven loved his friends and family dearly. His generosity knew no bounds. He was not only generous in life, but also in death as an organ donor.

Steven was a “Jack of all Trades” and always ready to lend a hand to a friend or family member who needed help. If something was broken around the house, Steven was the man for the job. He was particularly interested in working on cars and computers, and he was also an avid computer gamer. He also loved being an uncle and spending time with his nieces and nephews. “Uncle Steven” will be dearly missed by Annabella Akers of Elyria and Elliyanah Akers of Sandusky, Leo Rushe of Mayfield Heights, Zaidyn Akers of Sandusky, and Milo Rushe of Mayfield Heights.

Steven is survived by father, Brian Scholz of North Royalton and mother, Merry (Rushe) Scholz of Lorain; his brothers: Aaron Scholz of Lorain, and Matt (Kelly) Rushe of Mayfield Heights; his sisters: Holly (David) Kopcho of Sandusky, Brianna (Jaelyn) Sosa of Attica, and Heaven Scholz of Spring, Texas.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Fred Poe and Ruth Rushe.

There will be a celebration of life held in Lorain, Ohio, on November 30, 2024 at 3:00 PM.
