Sharon Kay Champion, 71, of Geneva went home to be with the Lord on 2/18/26 at UH Medical Center in Cleveland. She was born in Weston, WV and was the youngest of 12 children.
She had a very big heart and enjoyed taking care of the elderly as a STNA. Sharon was musically inclined and loved singing gospel while playing guitar, bass and banjo. She was a devout Baptist and enjoyed attending church services.
Sharon is survived by her five children, David Hollingsworth (Son), Amy Miller (Daughter) & Edward Miller, Shawn Hollingsworth (Son), Kandy Taylor (Daughter) & Bryan Sweeney and Heather Burnheimer (Daughter). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Tiffaney, Nathaniel, Lorene, Matthew, Emmanuel, Blake, Jacob, Stormy, Alexis, Isaiah, Donna and Samantha. Sharon is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, KayLynn, Donna, Jesse, Jaxson, Kingsley, Winston, Hayden, Allison, Merida, Tiana, Chance, Conner, Logan, Corynna and Isabella.
Proceeded in death by her mother, Martha Hamrick, husband, Bob Cornwell and great-grandson, Ryder Russell.
Sharon wanted to be remembered as a “winner; whether she stays or whether she goes.
A service to Celebrate her Life will be held on Sunday March 1, 2026, at Ashtabula Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Rd, Ashtabula, OH. from 5:00-7:00.
