Ronald P. Hartwell, 75, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, at Carrington Park in Ashtabula, Ohio.
He was born on November 23, 1948, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of the late, Raymond and Jean (Luce) Hartwell.
Ronald graduated from Conneaut High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy.
He was employed as an “over the road” Truck Driver for many years until his retirement.
Ronald loved the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and walking; his favorite place to do all of the above was at Cook’s Forest in Pennsylvania. He would leave the cold, Ohio winter’s behind and head south to the warm and sunny Florida.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara Braden; his sister-in-law, Maryann Hartwell and his nieces and nephews: Steve Braden (Kim Finlaw), Tammy (Bart) Tuttle, Cindy Braden (Ray Pekarski), Daryl (Shree) Braden, Scott (Siobhon) Braden, Sarah (Sam) McAdoo, Kenny (Nicole) Hartwell and Eric (Anita) Hartwell.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Hartwell.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in North Kingsville, Ohio.
