Michael Bates, 63, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024 following a brief illness.

He was born on January 14, 1961 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of John E. and Georgette B. (Fortin) Bates.

Mike lived life to the fullest.  He loved his family and friends and would do anything for anyone.  He loved country music and watching westerns on TV.  His favorite times were those spent on the open road with the wind in his face on his motorcycle.  He was also a proud member of the Dirty Bones MC; he loved his fellow riders like brothers.

He is survived by his loving family: his sister Bonnie Leaverton, and his brothers John Patrick bates and Shawn (Doreen) Bates.

He was preceded by his parents and his sister Deidra and girlfriend Debra Neese.

Private family services will be held to celebrate his life.
