Mark Lee Wight
ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP - Mark Lee Wight passed away peacefully June 19, 2020 in the comfort of his own home knowing that his loved ones were right there by his side.
He was born on July 11, 1956 the son of Dorothy Wight.
Mark was currently employed by O.D.O.T; a job he thoroughly enjoyed.  His co-workers were some of his very best friends.  They were all very supportive of him during his battle with cancer and his family was very touched by their loving support and sincere willingness to help.  Before O.D.O.T he had worked over 15 years for Alltel.
Mark's main source of love and happiness came from the two most important girls in his life; his daughter and granddaughter. He enjoyed every second with them, especially their weekly dinner dates.  Even his worst days could always be made better just by his granddaughter walking in the room.  Mark also enjoyed working on cars and he loved reading about history and watching history shows on TV.
He is survived by his loving family: his daughter Amanda (son-in-law, Adam) Schumann; his granddaughter Macie Schumann and his sister Lisa Miller.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his son Justin D. Wight in 1991.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday June 27th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ashtabula.
The family would also like to extend their thanks to Hospice of the Western Reserve for the loving care they gave Mark.
