Marion “Louise” Miller, 94, Jefferson, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 7 th ,
2024.
Louise was born January 14, 1930 in Perrysburg, Ohio the daughter of Raymond and
Irene Haas.
Louise graduated from Jefferson Area High School where she met the love of her life
and husband of 76 years, John “Phil” Miller. Always together, they were the model of
love and devotion for everyone who knew them, especially their four children.
Not only was Louise a devoted wife and loving mother, but she enjoyed working for 17
years at Happy Hearts. She was a puzzle connoisseur, often showing up her
granddaughter with her puzzle skills by always finding the right piece. A perpetual good
luck charm in the casino, slot machines quivered in fear at the sight of her and her
excellent luck. Louise made a rhubarb pie that could have been award winning, a pasta
sauce that was so good you’d eat it again for breakfast, and a homemade salad
dressing that always achieved the perfect ratio of olive oil to vinegar.
Louise was loving, smart, quick witted, caring, and always put a focus on her family and
her Catholic faith. She will be missed tremendously.
Remaining to cherish Louise’s memory are children, Rev. Philip Miller, Linda (Al)
Graper, and Susan Miller; grandchildren, James (Jane) Miller, Kimberly (Kevin) Lehman,
and Andrea (Zachary) Michael; three great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne (Fred) Gale;
Karen and Ron Borkes, and countless other relatives and friends.
Preceding Louise in death are her husband, John “Phil” Miller; son, Jerry (Bonnie)
Miller; daughter-in-law, Theresa Miller; sister, Sister Mary Natalie Haas; and brother-in-
law, Fred Gale.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 11 th , 2024 at noon at St. Joseph
Calasanctius Catholic Church in Jefferson, with her son, Father Philip Miller, officiating.
