Marion "Mickey" Edith (Mickelson) Laveck

Marion “Mickey” Edith (Mickelson) Laveck, 101, died peacefully in her sleep on August 23, 2022, at Saybrook Landing.

Marion was born on May 31, 1921, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter or Anton and Evelina (Pulkkinen) Mickelson.

She graduated from Harbor High School in 1939. She worked at Pizza Villa in her earlier years.

She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, doing puzzles and spending time with her family.

Marion is survived by her loving children: Carol Kiraly and Kenneth (Joan) Laveck; her grandchildren: Lynn Cech and Dawn (Mark) Berkowitz and her great-grandchildren: Tyler Kiraly, Andre Houston and Brandyn Berkowitz and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Paul, Arvi and Maynard; her nephew, Erick and her grandson-in-law, Tom.

A private burial with family in attendance took place on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Edgewood Cemetery.
