Loretta Doss

Loretta Mae Doss, 58, passed away on February 4, 2022, at University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center in Geneva, Ohio.

Loretta was born on April 12, 1963 in Gassaway, West Virginia, the daughter of Norman C. and Fietta Magdaline (Starcher) DeMoss.

Loretta graduated from Clay County High School in Clay, West Virginia.

Loretta was a STNA for twenty-one years at Geneva Shores in Geneva, Ohio; she loved her job as a healthcare worker and truly enjoyed getting to know her patients.

Loretta enjoyed playing games on her phone, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and reading.  Her true source of happiness and joy came from spending time with her family that she loved so very dearly.  Loretta always put her “family first”.

Loretta is survived by her beloved children: Melissa (Timothy) Cameron, Richard (Jeanellon) Doss and Mary Beth (Randal) Blake, her loving companion, Ron Parnell, her grandchildren: Scotty, Kaitlyn, Jordon, Trevor, Joshua, Rebecca, Raegon, Jaxon, Hunter and Jayden, her siblings: Arletta Fay (Joe) Marling, Alan Ray (Judy) DeMoss,David (Christie) DeMoss and Ellen (Derrick Vangils) Thorne; her brother-in-law, Ernie Marling and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Norman DeMoss, Garrett DeMoss and Frances “Polly” Marling.

In keeping with Loretta’s wishes, no services will be held.
