Linda Lou (Joslin) Garbutt, 65, passed away on October 2, 2024, at her home in Ashtabula, Ohio following a long and courageous battle with brain cancer.
She was born on August 2, 1959, in Erie, Pennsylvania; the daughter of Phil and Joan (Johnson) Joslin.
On September 15, 2007, Linda married John F. Garbutt, they shared seventeen years of wonderful marriage together.
Linda worked for Premix in the shipping department where she dedicated thirty-six years of her life until her retirement in April 2022.
Linda enjoyed all sorts of crafts, especially ceramics and painting. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and in her younger years she enjoyed playing softball and volleyball. Linda loved to travel, spend time on the beach and shop, especially on Black Friday. However, her greatest source of joy and happiness came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband, John F. Garbutt; her children: Trisha (Mark) Secrist, Heather Betts and Shaun Betts; her grandchildren: Sierra Secrist, Tia Secrist, Mila Secrist, Shelby Secrist, Zachary Younkers and Ariona Oster and her siblings: Robert (Jackie) Joslin, Michele Fails, Art Joslin and Michael Joslin.
She is preceded in death by her parents Joan Johnson and Phil Joslin, her brother, Phillip Joslin; her in-laws, John and Sandra Garbutt; her sister-in-law, Christine Pestello and her brother-in-law, Michael Pestello.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 4:00p – 6:00p with a funeral service to immediately follow at 6:00p at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue in Ashtabula.
