Kimberly “Kim” Foster, 51, passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2025, at Akron General Hospital. She was born on October 16, 1974, in North Middletown, Kentucky, the daughter of Clyde and Patricia (Foley) Rainey.
Kim graduated from Bourbon County High School in 1992 and spent many years working as a waitress, a role she loved not only because she excelled at it but because it allowed her to build lasting friendships with her regular customers. Her warm smile and outgoing personality touched many lives. She worked for many years at Cracker Barrel and most recently at The Virginia Restaurant in Carrollton.
On April 27, 2024, Kim married her best friend and the love of her life, Ty Foster. She loved cooking, feeding people, hosting holiday gatherings, and expressing herself through painting. A lifelong fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, she also enjoyed long rides on Ty’s motorcycle and was proudly associated with the Leatherneck Nation Motorcycle Club.
The center of Kim’s world was her family, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she loved beyond measure. She is survived by her husband, Ty; her children, Miranda Brown (Ben Adkins), Johnathon Brown (Tiffany McCormick), Talia, and Clyde; her grandchildren, Eva, Emerson, and Shane; and two cousins who were very dear to her, Jerry Atkinson and Joe Johnston. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Shane Brown.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Massillon Eagles Lodge, 303 Weirich Boulevard, Massillon, Ohio.
Just as Kim lived her life with kindness and generosity; her death would be no different. Kim saved the lives of 4 people through the gift of organ donation. She will forever be a hero to us and those 4 individuals and their families.
