Kenneth Siekkinen Obituary

Kenneth Milton Siekkinen, 77, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center in Ashtabula, Ohio.  He was born on March 23, 1943 in Ashtabula, the son of Milton and Mary Jeanette (Scovil) Siekkinen.

Kenneth graduated from Edgewood High School in 1961. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for six years. Kenneth had been employed by Great Lakes Chevy where he worked in the service department and JMJ Trucking as a driver. On March 26, 1966, Kenneth married the love of his life, Patricia Jean (Bettilyon) Siekkinen. Together they raised three wonderful children. Christopher, Craig and Cyndi. This coming March, Kenneth and Patricia would have celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary.

Kenneth had many interests and hobbies to which he enjoyed such as: bowling on Friday nights at Jefferson Lanes, playing golf, watching NASCAR, fishing and watching the Cleveland sports teams. Kenneth was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Andover.

Kenneth is survived by his loving family: his wife of 54 years: Patricia Jean (Bettilyon) Siekkinen, his children: Christopher (Jackie) Siekkinen, Craig (Renee) Siekkinen and Cyndi (Chris) Blye; his siblings: Jim (Nancy) Siekkinen and Tom Siekkinen; his grandchildren: Alexander, Jacob, Hanah, Matthew, Jada and Christopher Jr. and his great grandchild: Zaiden Siekkinen along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Milton and Mary Jeanette (Scovil) Siekkinen; his siblings: Janet, Sue Ann, Patricia and Bobby.

In honor of Kenneth’s wishes there will not be any public service held.

Final internment will be at the Rittman Veteran’s Cemetery.
