Jospeh Sabatine

Joseph Sylvius Sabatine Jr., 86, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2021 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center with his family by his side.  Joseph was born on August 13, 1934 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of Joseph and Florence (Lombardo) Sabatine.

Joseph graduated from Ashtabula High School and then proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army where he fought in the Korean War. On June 28, 1958 Joseph married the love of his life, Antoinette Josephine Sposito, together they raised two wonderful children and spent 59 wonderful years of marriage together. Joseph was employed by Conrail for many years and retired in 1992.

Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family, going to casinos and golfing.

Joseph is survived by his loving family: his children: Chris Ann (Mark) Severino and Joseph (Debbie) Sabatine; his grandchildren: Brooke (Kevin), Corey, Trevor, Destiny, Mark and Kyler.

He is preceded in death by his parent's: Joseph and Florence (Lombardo) Sabatine; his wife of 59 years: Antoinette J. (Sposito) Sabatine; his sister: Jean McCafferty; son-in-law: Wayne Herpy and a brother during infancy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1200 East 21st Street, Ashtabula with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 a.m.
