John Tackett

John Tackett, 88, passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2021 at A.C.M.C ER.

He was born on June 21, 1932 in McDowell, KY the son of George and Martha Tackett.

He married the love of his life Claudia E. Faulkerson on June 21, 1954 and they celebrated 60 years of marriage together before she passed away in 2016. John worked at Rockwell, with a lifelong career in construction. He enjoyed playing poker, enjoyed gambling and loved outdoor activities like hunting when he was younger.  His true passion was the love he had for his children, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving family; his children: John (Sue) Tackett, Darryl (Brenda) Tackett, Karleen (Joe)  Ball, Sharyl (Phillip) Greene and Darren (Cassie) Tackett; his grandchildren: Sara (John) Kandare, Jonathon Tackett, Mindy Tackett , Branden (Martha) Tackett, Joshua (Taylor) Ball, Jenna Ball, Erica (Ed) Mullens, Dawn (Brad) Belk and 13 great-grandchildren; and his sisters: Addie Stewart, Nancy Snyder and Bonnie Tackett.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Claudia Tackett and his brother Eddie Tackett.

In honor of his wishes no public services will be held.
