On Christmas morning the Lord unexpectedly called Jim to leave this world behind and to join Him in His
heavenly kingdom. Born in 1950, Jim spent the majority of his years living in Amherst, Ohio where he
was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. For the past few years, he enjoyed being a resident at
the Sanctuary of Geneva Assisted Living Community.
Jim worked at the Ridge Tool Company for over 40 years. He enthusiastically followed the Cleveland
Browns, Cavaliers, and Guardians. He also had a special interest in following the Michigan State Spartan
sports teams.
Jim was a genuinely gentle soul who loved his Lord, his family members, listening to music, taking
photographs at special occasions, and enjoying one or many good cups of coffee. He was a very sociable
person who would freely engage in conversation with anyone he met. He kept a remarkably positive
disposition no matter what ailments or issues he faced.
He will be sadly missed by the family members he left behind. Family members are brother Robert
(Janice) of Lansing Michigan, brother William (Yvonne) of Jefferson Ohio, one niece, two nephews, three
grandnieces and one grandnephew. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Assumption Church in Geneva on Thursday January 2, 2025 at
11:00 a.m. No vigil service or period of visitation is to be observed.
