George Hunter

George Hunter, 77, passed away on August 3, 2024, at Andover Village in Andover, Ohio.

He was born on November 1, 1946, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Mary Jane (Wineburner) Hunter, Jr.

Geroge worked for more than 20 years in the maintenance department at Western Pennsylvania Hospital.

He enjoyed listening to music, especially the “oldie’s” 50’s and 60’s. He was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and loved classic cars, there was nothing better than driving in his black, “57” Chevy Impala.

He is survived by his loving children, Amber Hunter, Tracie (Jim) Moody and Jeremy Hunter; his grandchildren: Jennifer, Justen, Travis and Brennan and his brother, John Hunter.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Sally who passed away in July of 2021 and his siblings, Jim, Ray and Mary Jane.

In honor of George’s known wishes, there will not be any public services held.
