Fred Minarik (93) passed away peacefully on December 27th 2024 at home in Geneva Ohio.
Fred was born on July 24, 1931 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. The son of Melicher and Rose Minarik and was the youngest of ten children. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was a loving husband, father and role model to those lucky to cross paths with him, always putting his wife, the late Carol Jean and his family first. A rare, kind heart coupled with a sense of humor that will live on for generations.
Fred was employed as an electrician for LTV Steel for many years before retirement and even then, his strong work ethic drove him to continue with side work, whether it was delivering pizza’s or riding his bike “looking for treasures”.
He is survived by his sister Millie Bachman, his children Kelli (Jim) Rushton, Jimmy Minarik, Matt (Amanda) Minarik, Ruth (Mike) Partin, his grandchildren Brandon (Alexa) Hart, Nicholas Bruckman, Ashley Minarik, Kaitlynn Minarik, Jonathan Minarik, Stephen Partin, Josiah Partin, and Deborah Partin and great grandchildren Ashlyn Partin, Daniella Rose Partin, Penelope Minarik, Adleigh Hart, Nicholas Bruckman, and Amelia Hart and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol Minarik,son Michael Minarik, a son Frederick in infancy, and many siblings.
In honor of Fred’s wishes, no services will be held.
