Edward Nabozny

Edward Nabozny, 91, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Edward was born on February 26, 1933 in Gates, PA; the son of John and Katherine (Stanoch) Nabozny.

Upon graduating high school Edward enlisted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country. He married the love of his life Carole Nethers on April 6, 1962. They shared 62 loving years together. Edward loved the Lord, he was a devout Christian for 53 years. He worked as a local semi-truck driver for 32 years.

Edward loved meeting new people, he never met a stranger. He took immense pride in his work ethic, from building something from scratch or restoring it. When he wasn’t busy with yardwork, he would enjoy watching baseball, football, and boxing. His favorite hobby was his family, he was a devoted family man.

Edward is survived by his wife, Carole Nabozny; children: Michael (Valerie) Nabozny, Sandra (Dale) Degroodt, and Carole Nabozny-Blair; beloved grandchildren: Stan “Stosh” (Vicky), Joshua (Anne), Destiny (Josh), Zak (Rachael), Derek, Rennè (John), Angel (Elbert), Scotty, Joey, Fawn, Hunter; and several great grandchildren; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Nabozny; his brothers, Joe Nabozny, Bob Nabozny, and Bill Nabozny; and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7th from 3:00pm to 4:30pm with funeral service to begin at 4:30pm with military honors to follow at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
