Donald Lee Orqvist

Donald L. Orqvist, 78, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, at his home in Ashtabula, Ohio.

He was born on December 19, 1945, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Vilho and Helia (Haapala) Orqvist.

Donald graduated from Harbor High School in 1964 and went on to receive his degree in accounting from Cleveland State University. He was employed as a Certified Public Accountant.

On September 4, 1970, Donald married Bridget K. Brace; they recently celebrated their 54rd wedding anniversary.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bridget K. Orqvist; his son, Dr. Aaron M. (Jill) Orqvist; his grandchildren, Mattias and Samuel Orqvist and his brother, William Orqvist.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marian J. Antunez.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 11:00a-12:00p with a memorial service to follow at 12:00p at the Ashtabula First United Methodist Church, 4506 Elm Avenue in Ashtabula, Ohio. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service.
