Dale Eric Canter Jr., 37, passed away on February 23, 2021, at Geauga Regional Medical Center in Chardon, Ohio. He was born on April 26, 1983 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Dale E. and Mary L. (Hall) Canter Sr.
Dale graduated from Conneaut High School in 2001 and then immediately joined the United States Navy. He worked in several manufacturing facilities and was also employed by Emerine’s Towing.
Dale was a talented musician who enjoyed listening and playing contemporary Christian music on his guitar. Dale volunteered at the Winter Jam and Ignite Christian Concerts. The most important part of his life were his two girls, Taylor and Maddison Canter; they were his world.
Dale is survived by his loving family: his parents: Dale E. Canter Sr. and Mary L. (John) Payne; his wonderful children: Taylor and Maddison Canter; his siblings: Jonathan Payne, Terissa (Chris Stacy) Payne; his wife: Emily Anne (Chromik) Canter; his step-daughter: Riley Overly; his grandmother’s: Viola Canter and Shirley Ward; his sister-in-law: Kathlene Payne and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Keri Ann (Cole) Canter; his grandfather: Herbert Canter and Donald R. Hall Sr. and his grandmother: Lois B. (Coy) Hall.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Conneaut Church of God, 5327 Center Road (route 7), Conneaut, Ohio. Pastor Carson Robson will be leading the services. Burial will follow in Kellogsville Cemetery.
