Clifton Monte Adkins, 73, passed away on April 26, 2024, at his home in Jefferson, Ohio.
He was born on August 25, 1950, in Mifflin, West Virginia, the son of Clifford Adkins and Margaret (Smutko) Kerosky.
Clifton graduated from West Tech High School in Cleveland, Ohio.
On December 19, 1981, he married Annelle Walton, they shared thirty-nine blessed years together before her passing in March of 2021.
Clifton worked as the Parts Manager at Bob Robinson Chevrolet for more than thirty years. He was also a Volunteer Firefighter for more than forty years for the city of Triadelphia.
He was a Triadelphia Councilman and a past officer of the Ohio County Fire Chiefs Association.
Clifton loved the game of baseball and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He enjoyed going to casinos, NASCAR and helping those in need. He was the giver of giving and never wanted anything in return.
He is survived by his children: Lynne (Bob) Miner, Julie (Jerry) MacKellar, Jessica (Walter) Ferguson, Curtis (Lexi) Crupe and Robert Crupe; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many siblings: Donna (Jerry) Borowski, Linda (Ken) Wheeler, Jim (Karen) Adkins, Debra (Chris) Hare, Kenny (Jenny) Adkins and Tammy (Dave) Hamrick.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annelle; his daughter, Beth Adkins and his dog, Precious.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 12:00p – 2:30p with a funeral service at 2:30p at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, West Virginia. A memorial procession will follow to the Triadelphia Fire Department, afterwards a luncheon will be held at the Triadelphia Town Hall.
