Claudia (Finch) Cole

Claudia Marie Cole of Williamsfield Ohio passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024 at her home, surrounded by family. 

She was born Claudia Finch, at Station Hospital, USMCAS, Cherry Point, North Carolina to Marine Corps Sgt. Claude Haston Finch and Susan Yvonne Finch (Cazares) on November 25, 1961.

She was a great, loving Christian woman who loved God deeply.  She enjoyed Korean dramas, anime, playing video games and doing things her children enjoyed.  She enjoyed thunderstorms, clouds, rainbows and beautiful flowers.  Spending time with her family brought her great joy.  She loved driving around and critiquing architecture.  She loved the ocean and beach.  Going to the lake and listening to the waves crashing against the shore. Warm hugs were a favorite both given and received. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Richard Cole, her children, Samuel Eugene Thurston, Joshua Haston Thurston (Katie), Alanson Lawrence Ball (Cassandra), Matthew Paul Thurston (Darlene), Benjamin Lawrence Thurston, Susanna Marie Thurston, and Grace Kelly Cole, her brothers Claude “Bud” Finch (Theresa), Peter Finch (Alison), Christopher Finch, and sister Michelle Brown (Finch) and her five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and as well as many “adopted” children that she took in. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Susan (Finch), her sister Cynthia Payton (Finch).  

The immediate family will be honoring her memory with a private Celebration of Life
