Charlotte Grace Miller, 67, passed away on June 24, 2025.
Born on August 5, 1957, in Houston, she was the daughter of William and Nelda Smith. Started school in Breckenridge TX and attended schools in Ft Worth TX, Hatch NM, Corona and Carrizozo NM she attended high schools of Roswell High in Roswell NM and graduated from Brown County High School, Mt Sterling IL in 1975.
She was JrROTC in Roswell USN.
Charlotte attended Lincoln Land Vommunity College in Springfield IL and graduated from business school in accounting in Memphis TN.
She was married several times, the longest to Earl Gutliph Jr. She never had children although she miscarried 4 children in the 80s and 90s.
Charlotte was a passionate seamstress and cook. She loved vintage ways and technology.
Most of all, Charlotte was passionate about the church and a devout Lutheran. She loved God Our Father and Jesus His Son relentlessly.
She had a very troubled life, bothered with sickness in recent years as well as severe depression at times.
At the time of passing, she was living in Freeport OH.
Charlotte is survived by her siblings: Ralph (Martha) Smith of DeRidder, LA; Myles (Sue) Smith of Dacula, GA; Shannon Cumiford of Melbourne, FL; Emily Williams of Tacoma, WA; and William (Marie) Smith of Ft. Worth, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Rene Miller.
Charlotte will be remembered for her generous spirit, creativity, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
