Charlene Marie (McCarthy) Maple

YOUNGSTOWN - Charlene Marie (McCarthy) Maple, 62, passed away on July 23, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on February 25, 1962 the daughter of Charles and Harriet (Thomas) McCarthy.

She was a graduate of Hubbard High School's Class of 1980.  Charlene owned her own cleaning company and she also worked many years as a bartender at the Youngstown V.F.W. Post #3307.

Charlene was a proud and loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed cooking and baking and she was a huge fan of anything Disney, especially Mickey Mouse.  Her greatest source of happiness came from her family and the love they shared.  She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving family; her children: David (Tessa) Tofil and her daughter Amanda Tofil; her grandchildren, that she absolutely adored: Amara and Leighann; her siblings: Shawn (Chrissy) McCarthy and Rene McCarthy; and her loving companion Charles "Flash" Lantz

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents.

Services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday August 3, 2024 at 2:00 at The Church of the Nazarene, 1815 Cherry Lane Drive S.E., Hubbard, Ohio.
