Carrisa Harvey Obituary

Carissa Nicole Harvey, affectionately known by some as "Carrie", unexpectedly suffered a brain aneurysm and passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 47, in Akron, Ohio.

Carrie was born in Wayne, Michigan on April 13, 1978 to Ken and Mickey Sharp.  She grew up in Westland, Michigan attending Wayne-Westland Schools; loving gymnastics, baseball, and riding bikes. She relocated to Houghton Lake, Michigan, where she graduated from Houghton Lake High. She then continued her education working toward a journalism degree.

Carissa moved to Ohio, married Mark Harvey, and had her beloved daughter, Rhianna. She worked in the service industry helping to grow businesses such as Arhaus Furniture, and Butcher & Sprout Bar and Grill. She enjoyed food and loved taking meals to friends and neighbors. She also loved going to the gym and encouraging others to stay safe and healthy. She looked forward to trips visiting family, especially her adored granddaughter, Adalynn. If you were lucky, you experienced one of her frequent customer service rep. impersonations or maybe a dolphin call. She was certainly a goofball who loved having fun. Her feisty spirit, silly sound effects and voices, and infectious smile will be missed by all who truly knew her!

She is preceded in death by her fathers, Ken Sharp and Pat Buehler, her brothers, Josh Sharp and Ryan Buehler, her aunt, Rebecca Lewis, her grandparents, Dotty and Lou Landenwitch, Merilynn and Ed Sharp, and Leyanne Mansur, her best friend, Nikki Farrar, and her infant cousin, Matthew Lada.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhianna, granddaughter, Adalynn and soon-to-be-born grandson, Lucky, her mother, Mickey Buehler, her significant other, Scott Heffley, her ex-husband, Mark Harvey, her siblings, Aaron Buehler, Amber Young (Kevin), Eric Buehler, Carol Sharp (Chris), Jeff Sharp (Tania), her "fur-baby", Pablo, and so many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The world will be a little dimmer without her love, life, and light! She will be terribly missed.  But, just as Carrie always wanted to help others when she was alive, for her death would be no different. She was a registered organ donor, and she has saved the lives of 4 people by giving them the "Gift of Life" through organ donation.  Her family couldn't be more proud to know she has become a hero to those recipients and to their families.

A Celebration of Carissa's Life will be held in Spring or Summer of 2026. Details will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Carrie's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
