Betty Ruswinkle Obituary

JEFFERSON – Betty Jean Ruswinkle, 91, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her devoted daughters.

A longtime resident of Pierpont, Ohio, Betty was born in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, to John and Lelia (Snyder) Redmond. From an early age, she learned the value of hard work, a lesson that would define her life and the legacy she left behind.

Betty was known for her remarkable work ethic and dedication to caring for others. Over the course of her career, she worked tirelessly in the dietary departments of several area nursing facilities, including the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Jefferson Healthcare, and Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. To those who worked alongside her, Betty was a steady presence—dependable, compassionate, and proud of a job well done.

Her simple, meaningful life was driven by her devotion to her family. Betty worked hard every day to provide for her loved ones and took tremendous pride in her daughters, Carol and Earlene. She often reminded those around her that perseverance and integrity were the keys to a good life—values she instilled in her children and grandchildren through her example rather than words.

In her quieter moments, Betty found joy in reading and caring for her beloved dogs. Her gentle spirit and unwavering strength will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Tim Bisaroe) Brooks and Earlene (Mike) Camilly; her grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) Camilly and Brian (Stephanie) Camilly; great-grandchildren, Brian Jr., Blake, Adella, and Luca; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl, in 1988; and her siblings, John Howard Redmond, Mary Redmond, Ralph Redmond, Lawrence Redmond, Tom Redmond, Twila Vas, and Phylis Wright.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public services. Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband in Pierpont Evergreen Cemetery.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Reserve Care Hospice (Hospice of the Western Reserve) for their compassion and care over the past year.
