Barbara Ruth Currence

Barbara Ruth Currence, 93, passed away on December 30, 2024. 

She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on March 18, 1931, the daughter of Guy and Leora (Hawes) Redmond. 

Barb was all about family.  The love and joy they provided her was immeasurable, as was the pride she had for each of them.  She stayed extremely active up until the last few years; always taking care of her yard and her flower gardens and cooking family meals.  She maintained her independence up to her very last breath.  She will be dearly missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of loving her. 

Barbara is survived by her loving children: Terry (Shelly) Currence, Robert (Jan) Currence, Linda (Tom) Lee, Tom (Shirley) Currence, and Debbie Luce; 22 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 26 great- great grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Dana Currence who passed in 2004, her parents and her sister, Betty Pecjac.  

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 3rd from 11:00am to 1:00pm with a funeral service to follow at Czup Funeral home 1329 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, OH.
