Ashton Lee Beard

Ashton Lee Beard, 17, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on November 30, 2025.
He was born on March 6, 2008, in Canton, Ashton was the beloved son of Charles and Stephanie (Smith) Scott.
He was a senior at Choice High School in Canton, where he was known for his bright personality and kind spirit. Alongside school, Ashton worked at Samantha’s Restaurant; he worked because he loved making money and saving money for his next big purchase. He enjoyed music, he had a massive shoe collection he was very proud of, and he loved spending time with his friends. He was known for his unique, infectious laugh that could brighten any room, and he adored his dog, Coco. He loved being around people, staying busy, and bringing his special energy to everyone he met.
Ashton is survived by his loving parents, Stephanie and Charles Scott; his siblings, Eric (Ashley) Steinman II, Aubry Beard, Ethan (Aaliyah) Beard, and Aidan Beard; his grandparents, Mary Smith “Nan” and Paula Scott; his nephews, Rayveon, Leon, and Izriel; and one niece and one nephew on the way. He is also survived by many friends, classmates, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m., at United Praise Church of God in Christ, 712 Concord Ave SW, Canton, OH 44710.
Just as in life Ashton would help anyone in need - death would be no different for him. Ashton’s family decided that he would want to help others and through organ donation he became a lifesaving hero to many people this holiday season. His Gift of Life has changed the lives of his organ recipients and their families, and his beautiful spirit lives on through them.
