Ronald Avery Harvey

Ronald Avery Harvey, 85, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023, at the Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Austinburg, Ohio.

He was born on April 26, 1938, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Avery and Florence (Rounds) Harvey.

Ronald graduated from Jefferson High School in 1958.

On December 10, 1960, he married the love of his life, Stella Mae Barchok; they shared sixty-two years of wonderful marriage together.

Ronald worked as a machinist for Rockwell Brake Plant for twenty-five years until his retirement in 1987.

He enjoyed camping, planting trees, watching birds, riding his Moto Guzzi and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stella Harvery; his beloved children, Ronald (Nina) Harvey and Eugene (Ann) Harvey; his grandchildren: Kathleen (Jack), Nicholas (Heather), Abby (Joe), and Amanda (Miles), and his eight great-grandchildren: Abby, Nick, Ian, Lucian, Lilith, Sarina, Paityn and Ellisyn.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Melinda (Harvey) Wiemelt.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 12:00p – 2:00p at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue in Ashtabula, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at 2:30p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Ashtabula, burial to immediately follow the service.
