Robert Butcher

July 12, 1957 — February 22, 2021

Robert E. Butcher passed away on February 22, 2021 following a very brief illness.  Although Bob was only 63 years old; those who truly knew him know that he got the most out of every one of the 23,236 days he was on this Earth.

He was born on July 12, 1957 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of Richard and Joan (Holland) Butcher.

Bob was a proud 1976 Harbor High School graduate.   He worked as a property and stock market investor for most of his life

Bob truly enjoyed life to the fullest; loving loud music and fast cars; he enjoyed good classic rock: some of his favorite bands were Bob Seager, Lynard Skynyrd, George Thorogood, Jimmy Hendrix and Aerosmith. He loved the outdoors and a day at the beach, spending time at car shows, enjoying the taste of different selections at rib burn offs and was really into body building. He adored and loved his own dogs and was also a breeder of large dogs for many years.  While some people may remember him as a handsome man with a great tan and big biceps who was in love with Pamela Anderson; those who really knew him remember a man with a huge heart who would do anything for anyone that just wanted to have fun and make people smile.

His family was what meant the most to him in life; and being able to attend his grandchildren’s sports events and his kid’s events when they were younger was what he cherished the most.  He was known as “Bob-O” by his grandchildren and he will be sadly missed by all his family.

He is survived by his mother: Joan Butcher; his children: Michelle Mott and Kyle (Sam) Butcher; his grandchildren: Kylie (Ray) Nevison, Mackenzie Mott, Tony Aviles, Jon Aviles, Kendra Butcher, Raelynn and Hayden Butcher; his great grandchildren: Christopher and Emmett Nevison; his siblings: Roz (Bob) Poff, Jack Hopkins, Drema (Jeff) Carrick and Phyllis Butcher.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday March 6, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue Ashtabula.
