Pamela S. (Joy) Henry

Pamela S. (Joy) Henry, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Andover Village Rehabilitation Center. 

Pamela was born December 26, 1953, the daughter of Franklin and Delores (Cottrell) Joy in Cambridge, Ohio.

She graduated from Madison High School in 1972, where she was a majorette and volunteered as a candy striper. When she was younger, she loved to dance and was a ballerina. After graduating high school, she met and married Willam Bay and had 2 daughters, Christine (AI) Champlin and Kimberly (Michael) McSkimming. She worked at various jobs as a server and bartender until she became an STNA where she loved taking care of people. After she could no longer be an STNA due to health reasons, she drove the Amish around for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren doing crafts. 

Pamela is survived by her daughters, 10 grandchildren: Joshua (Lillie) Bay, Harley (Heather) Milbrandt, Justin Bay, Brandon (Leilany) Milbrandt, Rebecca Legare, Teddy (Misty) Milbrandt, Tommy (Alysa) Champlin, Sandra Tuttle, Hannah McSkimming, Gabriella McSkimming; 11 great-grandchildren: Bentley, Naomi, and Emmalynn Milbrandt, Alaina Legare, Liam Milbrandt-Pagan, Penelope and Parker Milbrandt, Jasmine Akens, Peyton Milbrandt, Kian Milbrandt- Pagan, and soon to be Oliva Legare; siblings: Timothy (Martha) Joy, Kimberly (Brian) Eagle, Randal (Donna) Joy, Jonathon (Michelle) Joy, and Shane (Michelle) Joy, and many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles (Chucky) Cottrell, aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Czup Funeral Home,  1329 Lake Avenue in Ashtabula, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Cambridge, Ohio at Gurnsey County Memorial Gardens.
