Lottie Newkirk

Lottie Newkirk, 98, passed away on July 7, 2023, in Ashtabula, Ohio.

She was born on January 22, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Szczygiel) Teresk.

Lottie graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1944.

Lottie married the love of her life, Wayne Newkirk, they shared many wonderful years of marriage together before his passing in 1990.

Lottie was a devoted Catholic who was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Jefferson and Mount Carmel Church in Ashtabula.

Lottie was a talented hairdresser who owned and operated West End Beauty Salon for over fifty years.

She loved cars, baking cookies, doing aerobics and exercising at the local YMCA.  She had a deep love for dogs, especially poodles.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings: Ann, Sophie, Stan, Edward, Frances, Tony, Walter and Betty Teresk.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 11:00a-12:00p with a funeral mass to follow at Noon at St. Joseph's Church in Jefferson, Ohio. Burial to immediately follow the service at Oakdale Cemetery.
