Lillie Stewart

Lillie Pearl Stewart was lovingly received into the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ on May 15, 2020 in her home in Ashtabula, OH.

She was born on August 9, 1926 to Okey and Dottie Cottrell Lanham in Clay, West Virginia.

Lillie is preceded in death by her loving husband Walter Vernon Stewart, who passed away on September 23, 1993 after being married for 52 years at the time of his passing.   Lillie was a widow for 26 years and always spoke of how much she loved and missed her husband and how she knew one day they would be reunited.  Lille and Walter raised 14 children together.  She kept busy as a homemaker, taking care of her children and husband.

She is survived by her loving family: her children: Thelma Jean (Chuck) Bland, Roy (Rose) Stewart, Amos (Jan) Stewart, Wanda (Doug) Pritt, Brenda (Daryl) Tackett, Mary (Elsio) Rosario, Phyllis Billings, Roger (Tina) Stewart, Danny Stewart, Loretta (Charles) Meaney, Tammy (Jeff) Morris, and Walter Jr; and 50 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, and 38 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Walter -she is preceded in death by her daughter Lucy (Orville) and her son Junior Vernon "Shorty".

A graveside burial and celebration of her life will take place on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery in Bickmore, WV., where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Walter.
