Kathleen (Copeland) Blevins

Kathleen (Copeland) Blevins, 77, passed away on October 16, 2023, at her home in Rock Creek, Ohio.

She was born on August 3, 1946, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Floyd and Clara (Mackey) Copeland.

Kathleen graduated from Harbor High School in 1964.

On July 17, 1992, she married the love of her life, Burchel L. Blevin; her loving and devoted husband of almost 26 years.

Kathleen worked for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant for fourteen years and then became a Dispatcher for the Sheriff’s Department where she dedicated twenty years of service before her retirement in 2017.

Kathleen enjoyed listening to 50’s music, dancing and going to casino’s; but her true source of joy and happiness was spending time with her beloved family.

Kathleen is survived by her loving children, James “Tony” (Stephanie) Truckey and Georgia (Henry) Truckey-Reyes; her siblings: Floyd (Jan) Copeland, Connie (Rick) DeBarr and Pam (Randy) Harley; her grandchildren: Michael DeJesus, David DeJesus, Leland (Brittany) Velazquez, Brandon Truckey and Ava Truckey; and her her great-grandchildren: Chloe DeJesus, Michael DeJesus, Cameron Velazquez, Jayden Velazquez, Kaidyn DeJesus, Leland Velazquez, Jax Marshall and Hazel Osborne.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burchel Blevins and her granddaughter, Katieleigh Velazquez.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue in Ashtabula, Ohio. Pastor Sam Vicente will be officiating. Immediately following the funeral service, Kathleen will be laid to rest in Eagleville Cemetery.
