Jerry E. Stone, 67, passed unexpectedly on January 20, 2023 in the ER of A.C.M.C. with family by his side.
He was born on January 3, 1956 the son of Franklin E. and Reta J.(Prine) Stone, Sr.
Jerry graduated from Harbor High School in 1974. On May 2, 1987 he married Linda M. Stone, his best friend, soulmate, and the love of his life.
He worked for 20 years for C&M Trucking; he was the Road Superintendent for many years in Austinburg Township; and in his younger years he worked with his brother at the Austinburg Feed Mill. Jerry was a member of Harvest Church in Ashtabula. He had a very strong faith in God. Jerry loved hunting and fishing with his family. There was nothing more important to Jerry than his family; he was raised by his parents that above all family comes first; and that’s how Jerry lived his life. Jerry was many things to many people; his unconditional love, support, and guidance, along with his sense of humor will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving family: Linda’s daughters, that he loved as his own: Kim (Tony) McNeil and Michell (Robert) Eubank; his siblings: sister, Nina Stone, brother Franklin (Carrie) Stone; the grandchildren, that he and Linda absolutely adored: Timothy (Gabby) Haak, Christina (Jared) Hannus, Matthew (Lillie) Haak, Rachel Haak, Alyssa (Joey) Thacker, Emily (David) Campbell, David (Julia) Eubank & great-grandchildren Blakely, Hudson, Lincoln; and another on the way; along with numerous nephews and nieces that he also loved like his own sons and daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 36 years Linda M. Stone who passed away February 20, 2022; his sisters: Kathryn Orth, Bridgette Stone and Carol Patrick; and a brother, Johnny Stone.
Funeral services will be held on Friday January 27, 2023 at the Harvest Church, 8625 Center Road (Route 45) Ashtabula; calling hours will be 11:00 -12:00 with the funeral services beginning at 12:00 with Rev. Duane E. Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
