Jeffrey Michael Jarvela, 66, passed away on November 3, 2020 in UH Geauga Medical Center.
He was born on August 12 1954 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of John M. and Ann (Hathy) Jarvela.
Jeffrey graduated from St. John High School in 1972 and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in business from Youngstown State University. Jeffrey worked at Molded Fiber Glass, Ohio Broach, and Transplastics.
He married his loving and devoted wife Joyce Marie Waring on February 14, 1998.
Jeffrey led a very Christian life and was a dedicated and devoted member of Gateway Church; where he served on the Board of Deacons and presently held the position of Treasurer. Jeffery was also an ordained Minister and a member of "Word of life Ministries" in Madison, where he volunteered his time at Nursing homes and Men's group homes. Jeffrey was also a volunteer for Lifebanc, since he was a kidney and pancreas recipient in 1990. Some of Jeffrey's hobbies included fishing, golfing, bowling, and woodworking. He also coached little league and Jr. bowling leagues.
He is preceded in death by his parents; John M. and Ann (Hathy) Jarvela.
He is survived by his wife; Joyce Marie (Waring) Jarvela; his son Joseph (Tristanne) Jarvela, his daughter Jamie (Keith) Arcaro. Grandchildren; Ashton Jarvela, Max Jarvela, Lyliah Jarvela, Katelynn Dibble Woissol, Kathryn Arcaro, Christian Bert and Emilee Bert ; Step- children: Kelly M. Mayle, Heather R. Paneto and Mathew (Amber) Mayle; and his siblings: Carol (Marty) Cudizilo and John Jarvela.
Calling hours will be held on Friday November 6, 2020 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Gateway Church, 2300 Austinburg Rd., Ashtabula; and funeral services will be held Saturday November 7, 2020 at 11:00am at Gateway Church.
