Eric Dean Orth, 54, passed away on October 18, 2020. He was born in Ashtabula on March 30, 1966.
Eric graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1984 and was a graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
He was presently employed at Roto-Rooter Service and prior to that for many years with Dragon and Sons Construction Company. Eric enjoyed basketball, baseball and softball in his young adult life. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed playing golf.
Eric was the loving son of Joyce and Ron Shelestak and Dean and Nancy Orth. He is also survived by his sister, Kelly Orth-Nelson, and a nephew Zachary Jerome Nelson. His blended family also consisted of his stepsister Erica (Chris) Barnett and family and Ronnie (Becky) Shelestak and family. Also surviving Eric was the love of his life, Juli Styles-Oatman; as well as his cat Toby who will miss him dearly.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Ashtabula First Church of the Nazarene, 1820 South Ridge Road West, Ashtabula from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020. Services to celebrate Eric's life will start at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Sean Hampton officiating. A private burial will be held at the Saybrook Township Cemetery on Friday, October 23, 2020.
