Emma B. Sturgill

ASHTABULA – Emma B. Sturgill, 81, passed away May 25, 2019 at ACMC.

She was born in Oak Hill, W.V. on August 28, 1937 the daughter of George and Jenny (McCormick) DuFour.

Emma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be missed dearly.

She was a member of the Church of the Living God for over 30 years.

Emma is survived by her loving family: her children: Edward (Debbie) Sturgill, Greg (Carol) Sturgill, Kevin Sturgill and Sandy Sturgill; her grandchildren: Joey, Amanda, Carrie, Justin, Anthony, Christian, Kristina, Steven, Nicole and Jeremy; 6 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Evelyn Birchfield, Danny DuFour, Joe DuFour, Frank DuFour and James Dufour.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Sturgill who passed away in 2007; her daughter Debbie Vallance in 2015 and her brothers: Harold, John and Jack.

Calling hours will be held on Friday June 31st from 4:00-6:00 with a service beginning at 6:00 at CZUP FUNERAL HOME, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula.  Pastor Robert Falke will be officiating the services.

The family would like to thank the staffs of A.C.M.C and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the excellent and compassionate care they gave Emma in her final days.
