Donna F. Tiroly, (nee Ferree), age 82, passed away suddenly in her home in South Euclid on the evening of December 31, 2020. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Tiroly; children, Kevin (Jennifer) Tiroly, and Marissa Tiroly; grandson, Otto; and sister, Lynne Reiss. Her parents, Carl and Eleanor (Glaser) Ferree, preceded her in death.
Donna was born on September 27, 1938, in Springfield, Ohio. She left Springfield after High School to attend Kent State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Special Education in 1960. It was here that she met her husband, Arthur; they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. She taught at Prospect Elementary School in East Cleveland in the 1960’s, developing a new Special Education program for the school, and later the District.
Following the birth of her children, she was the Director of Religious Education at Christ the King Church in East Cleveland for several years. Later her study of meditation drew her to practicing T’ai Chi Chih and becoming an accredited teacher. Her life-long love of nature and art also led her to various artistic practices including creating mandalas. She taught classes in several meditative modes through Shadybrook, and formerly through SELREC. Throughout her life, Donna was dedicated to supporting her students, and helping those around her.
