Donna L. (Succi) Johnson, 64, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 27, 2021.
Born on February 4, 1957, in Ashtabula, OH, to Joseph and Dorothy (Cartner) Succi, she was a lifelong area resident and 1975 graduate of Jefferson High School and the Ashtabula County
Vocational School, where she earned the award of Outstanding Data Processor. She worked at Webb Mfg., later Cascade Wood, in Conneaut, OH, for over 45 years, as a computer programmer.
Donna’s positive attitude was often displayed through her beautiful smile. When life presented her with challenges, rather than focusing on the negative, she always fought with a courageous
spirit. Her inner fortitude and selflessness were among her strongest attributes and inspired those around her. Donna’s hobbies included spending time with her beloved family, reading,
playing Scrabble, and crocheting. In addition to handcrafting beautiful pieces for her loved ones, she also crocheted blankets and hats for babies in the NICU. She will be remembered for
her uncanny ability to solve a puzzle or brain teaser. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Bruce Johnson; two children Valerie (Mark) Hall of Huron, OH, and Greg (Trishina) Johnson of Milan, OH; four grandchildren, Autumn, Maxim, Gage, and Maverick; four siblings, Denise Takach, Joey (Judy) Succi, Diana (Marty) Sjostrom, and Mary (Dave) DeLeone; and brother-in-law Doug (Betsy) Johnson.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA.org)
or the St. Jude Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
