Dianne Wolfe

DIANNE PFALZGRAF WOLFE, 74, of Parkersburg passed away on May 22, 2020, following a sudden illness.

She was born in Parkersburg on January 14, 1946, the daughter of the late Ronald and Hazel Pfalzgraf. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Bill Pfalzgraf, sisters Peggy Hill and Susie King and special cousin Carolyn Rapp.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lewis Clark Wolfe and children Amy (Wes) Collins of Parkersburg, Sarah (Matt) Solomon of Fishers, Indiana, Randall Wolfe of Belpre, Ohio, and foster son Bob (Henda) Claypool of Washington. Also surviving are grandchildren Evan Collins, Austin Solomon, Kathryn Soloman and Christopher Wolfe, and numerous nieces and nephews along with their children.

Dianne, "Dee Dee," was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and Marietta College and during her lifetime worked as a social worker for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, director of Planned Parenthood of West Virginia and retired as a legal assistant at the law firm of Bowles Rice in Parkersburg.

She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Parkesburg.

In accordance with her wishes, a private family memorial ceremony was held on May 23, 2020, at the home of her mother-in-law, Lorene L. Wolfe in Glenville.

The family requests that donations be made in Dianne's memory to the Humane Society of Parkersburg, 530 29th Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101, or better yet visit the Humane Society and adopt a pet in her honor.
