Delores M. Brainard-Moore
JEFFERSON – Delores M. Brainard-Moore, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on February 29, 2020.
She was born in Flemington, W.V. on November 8, 1935 the daughter of Harold and Alice (Bland) Ball.
She moved from Cleveland to Ashtabula County in 1946. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and her flowers; Delores’ main source of love and pride was from her family; especially her grandchildren.
Delores enjoyed a very rewarding career as a nurse; she worked for Ashtabula Co. Medical Center for 18 years until her retirement in 1997; she also worked for Dr. Lynne’s office for 10 years and Country Club Retirement Center for 5 years.
She is survived by her loving family: her three grandchildren: Robert L. Brainard, Jr., Michelle L. Brainard and Benjamin A. Brainard; her 6 great-grandchildren: Dylan, Nathan, Brenden, Jax, Bridgette and Alexandria; her siblings: Fred Burtt and Mary Daubenspeck as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved as if they were her own children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons Robert and William Brainard; her 1st husband Harold Brainard and 2nd husband Burl Moore; her step-father Walter Burtt; two sisters: Ellen Bullis and Joyce Walters; and four brothers: Harold Ray Burtt, William Ball, Gordon Lee Ball and William Burtt
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula. Burial will follow in Lenox Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00-7:00 at the funeral home.
