Davina Smith-Dratwa, 51, passed away on May 30, 2022, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Davina was born on August 4, 1970, in Ashtabula, the daughter of David and Janice (Jones) Smith.
Davina graduated from Harbor High School in 1989.
She worked for many nursing homes over the years, she loved caring for the elderly and treated the residents like family, the majority of her time in nursing care was spent at Broadfield Manor in Madison, Ohio.
Davina enjoyed spending time outside and gardening, however, her true source of happiness and joy came from being spending time with her family and being called “Nana”, by her grandchildren that she absolutely adored.
Davina is survived by her beloved sons: David (Brittney) Marquez and Nelson (Santina) Marquez, her grandchildren: Greysun, Oaklee and Ensley, her husband, Steve Dratwa, her sister, Dionna (Radames) Sanchez, her very special Aunt & Uncle, John and Debbie Jones, whom she loved like her own parents, her dear friend and father of her children, Nelson Marquez Sr., and many dear and loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, David Smith, her mother, Janice (Jones) Morell and step-father Charles Bridges.
Funeral services will be held on Friday June 3rd, 2022 at Czup Funeral Home 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio; calling hours will be from 3:00-6:00 with the funeral service starting at 6:00.
